Frequently Asked Questions

Buzzy Bee is an interactive spelling companion designed to help students practice and prepare for spelling tests. With Buzzy Bee, you can:

  • Create custom spelling lists in minutes using manual entry, image scan, or import features.
  • Access built-in word definitions and audio pronunciations.
  • Play fun, interactive word games to make learning enjoyable and effective.

Daily practice with Buzzy Bee helps children strengthen spelling skills, expand vocabulary, and build confidence for tests.

1. Open the Activities page.
2. Select My Spelling Lists.
3. Tap New Spelling List (+).
4. Enter a name (max. 25 characters) and tap Save.

Adding words to your new list:
After selecting Add New Words, you can input words in one of three ways:

Add Words Manually:
1. Type a word.
2. Tap the plus (+) sign to add it.
3. Repeat for additional words.
4. Review the list:
     o Tap the Edit (pencil) icon to change a word.
     o Tap the Delete (trashcan) icon to remove a word.
5. Tap Done on the keyboard.
6. Tap Submit.

Add Words by Scanning an Image:
1. Take a photo of the list.
2. Tap Use Photo.
3. Crop photo if needed, then tap Done.
4. Wait a few seconds for the words to load.
5. Review the list: edit or delete words as needed.
6. Tap Submit.

Add Words by Importing a List
(PNG or JPEG formats supported)
1. Select an image.
2. Crop photo if needed, then tap Done.
3. Wait a few seconds for the words to load.
4. Review the list: edit or delete words as needed.
5. Tap Submit.

1. Locate the shared Spelling List link via Mail, Messages, WhatsApp or Airdrop
2. Copy the shared link
3. Go to Buzzy Bee Spelling app
4. Select My Spelling Lists
5. Tap Import Shared Spelling List
6. Paste link in the Import Link field
7. Tap Import

1. Go into your Spelling List
2. Tap share icon located on the top right side of the list
3. Select a share option such as Mail, Messages, WhatsApp or AirDrop (for nearby devices)
4. Select recipient(s) and add your message.
5. Tap Send

After creating a list, you can return to it anytime to edit the words:
1. Open the spelling list from the main menu.
2. Swipe left on the word.
3. Tap the Edit (pencil) icon.
4. Make changes and save.

After creating a list, you can return to it anytime to amend the words:
1. Open the spelling list from the main menu.
2. Tap + Add New Words to add more words:
    o Choose Add Words Manually, Scan Image, or Import List, following the same steps as when creating a new list.
3. To delete a word: swipe left on the word and tap the Delete (trashcan) icon.
4. To edit a word: swipe left and tap the Edit (pencil) icon.

2. Tap the Reorder icon (top right).
3. Drag and drop spelling list into the desired order.

1. Swipe left on the list name.
2. Tap the Edit (pencil) icon.
3. Make changes and save.

1. Swipe left on the list name.
2. Tap the Delete (trashcan) icon.
3. Confirm by tapping Delete in the pop-up window.

Practice & Word Games

1. Open the Activities page.
2. Select Spelling Practice.
3. From the popup, choose My Spelling Lists or Vocabulary List.
4. Select a spelling list.
5. Begin practicing by filling in the blanks after each word is said aloud.

1. Open the Activities page.
2. Select Play Games.
3. From the popup, choose My Spelling Lists or Vocabulary Lists.
4. Tap a game to play.
5. Select the spelling list you’d like to use.

1. Open a spelling list.
2. Tap a word to view its definition.
3. Tap the Audio icon to hear the definition.

1. Tap your Profile picture.
2. Select Speech Settings.
3. Preview voices by tapping the Audio icon.
4. Select your preferred voice.
5. Adjust Speech Rate with the slider.
6. Tap Save Changes.

In-App Settings
1. Tap your Profile picture.
2. Go to Notifications.
3. Toggle ON/OFF:
    o Buzz Word of the Day
    o Reminder to Study (set days and times)
4. Tap Save Changes.

Device Settings
1. Go to Settings > Notifications.
2. Select Buzzy Bee Spelling.
3. Toggle Allow Notifications ON or OFF.
Device settings override in-app notification settings.

1. Tap your Profile picture.
2. Go to Touch Sounds in settings.
3. Toggle ON or OFF.
Voice audio remains on when touch sounds are off.

1. Tap your Profile picture (cogwheel icon).
2. Select Premium Plans.
3. Choose a plan.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm.

1. Go to Profile Settings > Premium Plans.
2. Tap Restore.

1. Log out and log back in.
2. Go to Profile Settings > Premium Plans.
3. Tap Restore.

1. Open your device Settings.
2. Tap your Apple ID (name) at the top.
3. Select Subscriptions.
4. Choose Buzzy Bee Spelling.
5. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

1. Log out of the app.
2. Log back in with the same credentials.
3. Go to your Profile and select Delete Account.
4. Confirm deletion.
Once deleted, all your spelling lists and account details will be permanently removed. If you
wish to retain your lists, do not delete your account.

1. Tap your Profile picture.
2. Tap the Help (question mark) icon (top right).
3. Select Feedback.
4. Complete the form and tap Send.
Or, tap Contact Us in the Help menu to email the Support Team directly.

2. Go to Share App.
3. Choose your method (Mail, Messages, AirDrop, etc.).
4. Review and send.

1. Tap your Profile picture.
2. Select Rate App.
3. The App Store review screen will open.
4. Write your review and submit.

2. Tap the Help (question mark) icon (top right).
3. Select FAQ.
